Hello, I am Afjan Aizad Jalalluddin
I am an Assistant Medical Officer in the Department of Orthopaedics at Hospital Shah Alam and a Master of Medical Education student at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. I teach across clinical settings—clinic, ward, emergency and bedside—focusing on practical skills and clinical reasoning to prepare the next generation of healthcare practitioners.
About Me
Clinical Education & Mentor
I believe teaching in medicine happens everywhere, not just in lecture theatres. As an Assistant Medical Officer in orthopaedics, I integrate instruction into daily clinical practice: ward rounds, patient consultations, emergency care and bedside supervision. This approach ensures learners gain real-world skills, professional habits and confidence alongside factual knowledge.
My passion for medical education is driven by a commitment to shape how future clinicians think and make decisions. I prioritise active, learner-centred methods that develop clinical reasoning and safe practice. Currently pursuing a Master of Medical Education at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, I combine academic training with hands-on mentorship to support students and junior doctors in becoming reflective, competent and compassionate practitioners.
